Health And Abundance of Peace

Behold, [in the future restored Jerusalem] I will lay upon it health and healing, and I will cure them and will reveal to them the abundance of peace (prosperity, security, stability) and truth. And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to be reversed and will rebuild them as they were at first.
— Jeremiah 33:6-8AMP

The Father designed and created the very framework of man’s being. Every detail about how man was made came from what was within the Father. Interconnected and interwoven into man’s being is something called “spirit.” This is the image and likeness of the Father. The only way that a man’s spirit can be sustained is in and through the Father. If we allow the Father no place in our lives, we invite disorder, imbalance, chaos, and in-congruency to reside. This opens us up to easy influence by our enemy, the devil, who, by use of his deceptive schemes, tricks us into believing things that are deceitful, untrue, and unscriptural. This weakens our spirit, causing a negative impact on our heart. It causes the eyes and ears of our heart to become blind and deaf so that we cannot properly believe in or relate to the Father. Spiritual blindness renders our hearts broken, wounded, and void. We become callous to the Father and to the fact that our spirit lives in an unhealthy state and in desperate need of His healing touch. No inventions conceived by man can heal the spirit of man; only the Holy Spirit can do that. Without peace and truth as pillars in life, we live in disharmony.

Once a man tastes the goodness, kindness, and love of the Father, something beyond amazing takes place in his heart. He comes to the realization and understanding of his identity, purpose, and destiny in life. However, the walk with the Father is not something that is programmed or that He superimposes on people. The Father is all about relationship, and He desires that we know His heart as much as He knows our hearts. As the Holy Spirit begins to work on our hearts, He brings everything negative to the forefront, not to make us look or feel bad, but so we can deal with them lest they become the very things that hinder our spiritual growth in the Father.

This was exactly the context of the children of Israel. They had the Father in their lives to guide and instruct them. Time after time, however, they were easily swayed by deceptions in their hearts that led them to sin. They valued wickedness over the character and nature of the Father. Stubbornness to change their ways quickly caused their hearts to become incurably diseased. Reveling in sin brought them much harm, and generations would die from their inability to change. Because their spirits were dead to the Father, they were consigned to live in a sphere of life where peace was absent and the truth was dismissed as of no value.

Healing from the Father can begin only when we come to Him in a posture of repentance. Sincerely confessing to Him our waywardness, wrongdoings, and failure to believe the truth is the starting point toward deliverance into a more excellent way of life. The Father is light, and when we invite Him into our lives, His light penetrates into our spirit and reveals any and every hidden thing. It is at this juncture that many people try to run away because they don’t truly want to believe what they see about themselves. But it is far better to go through this pain as the Father works on healing us from every deficiency so that we can continue to grow in His ways. This begins to strengthen our spirit and leads us to a place of maturity in Him. The closer we get into proximity with Him, the more we start to realize His infinite abundance. He is the God of peace and He is truth. He will not relent in building a people who are lively stones to comprise His dwelling place: we in the Father and He, in His fullness, in us.
