The Father has an incredible love toward those He has made. His heart toward mankind is magnanimous, and filled with goodness and lovingkindness. He is not partial in how He cares, and He never holds back from His blessings. Every word He speaks is Truth, and He is relentless in raising up a people who will sojourn with Him and become carriers of His glory. It has always been in the Father’s heart for mankind to have complete access to Him, forming an unbreakable relationship with Him and remaining in a steadfast posture of being sons (both men and women) before Him. The first man Adam, exercising his power of free choice, violated his relationship with the Father, thus producing the visible fruit we see all around us in the form of disobedience, wickedness and sin. Christ paid the greatest price possible for this as He laid down His life and broke all the power of sin. Yet, today, countless people still walk in blindness to the Truth, laying themselves open to be overcome by the power of the enemy. The enemy only increases in power by the credit mankind gives him. Undoubtedly, there is a price to pay when pride and stubbornness prevent one’s heart from bending to the Father. When we reach the place of realizing that there is nothing in this world that can satisfy us internally except the Holy Spirit, it is at this juncture that change has to take place and we experience a continual weeping to be put back together and restored to our relationship with Father God.
The world constantly invites us to indulge in its pleasures. Built on the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life, these pleasures are designed to appeal to and attract people to partake of the good things they promise to produce. Many people, having no clue of who the Father is, fall right into the trap. Others flirt with a relationship with the Father but have not fully committed themselves to Him, and so are lured away and abide by the standards of the world. Deception often seems satisfying for a time, but eventually feelings of loneliness, emptiness, and separation will creep in and lead to the demise of our heart. This is where feelings of condemnation, failure, and unworthiness grip us as though there is no way out and that the Father does not care. If our hearts become hardened, we become highly offended by other people, but especially by the Father. But in actuality, it is no one’s fault or doing but our own because of the choice we made. The world and its attractions are temporary; they too someday will wither away as do the flowers in the field.
The only way out is in and through the Father. What we need to have is a revelation of Him! Choosing our own way comes at a high cost, but so does making the deliberate choice to serve the Father. Obedience is a sweet aroma to the Father, and paying the price to give our hearts, commit ourselves, and love Him far outweighs paying the price to follow our own ways. Continual weeping for the Father in our hearts comes from the realization of how far away we have drifted from Him. The Father, in His goodness and kindness, never drifts away or changes His love for us. Confidence in the knowledge of this will soften our hearts so that we crave Him more than ever.
