Becoming A Thousand

A little one shall become a thousand, And a small one a strong nation. I, the LORD, will hasten it in its time.
— Isaiah 60:22 NKJV

Whatever the Father does is always super amazing! Just consider creation; no human words can describe its magnificence! When it comes to man, God started with one. No matter what else was created during the first 5 days, on the 6th day, God created man. The word “man” is singular, but not really. Within this man was his wife, and within her were her sons, and within them would be generations unnumbered.

It’s remarkable to consider how an entire generation can begin with just one person! This is the power of the Holy Spirit. He is never moved by the masses in order to bring His purposes into manifestation. God birthed a great nation out of one man named Abraham. The funny thing is that Abraham and his wife were unable to conceive children. When the Father appeared to him, Abraham was taken aback by the prophetic promise that he would be the “father of many nations.” How could this be, he asked, since he was 75 years old and had no offspring from his loins? It took 25 years for the promised son to arrive. And history records that out of this promised son, Isaac, the nation of Israel was born. Today, according to Galatians, all believers are the spiritual seed of Abraham.

From the Old Testament to the New, the Father has always sought men who would be in pursuit of His purposes. Without exception, these men always felt insignificant when they heard the Father’s voice. They were not popular names nor the leaders of big clans; the Father’s purpose always outweighed them. That’s the beauty! The Father walks side by side with those whom He calls. The Father sent one Son, to represent Him in the fulness of His image and likeness. This Son laid His life down for us as a lamb to the slaughter. Out of this Son, a multitude of sons arose to become His body! The Father has never given up on His mandate. His words to us are forever true.

The prophetic word of the Father is a SEED. That seed always has to be planted into the ground (HEART). In order to grow, the seed requires pressure (ADVERSITY, TESTS, CIRCUMSTANCES, TRIALS), and water (BELIEF). Once this seed begins to grow, it produces an abundant harvest (A THOUSAND).
